Speaking of feeder calves—-1403 head have been nominated for the Rappahannock Angus Sale scheduled for October 12 at Front Royal by 49 producers. New consignors are: Woodmar farm, Walter Slavik, W. R. Burke. W. F. Kesler, W. C. Williams, W. F. Moffett, L. W. Buckley, D. L. Miller, J. R. DeBergh and Vernon Gatley.
Nine Hereford breeders have nominated 266 head for the Northern Virginia Feeder Calf sale scheduled for October 8th at Winchester. New consignors include K. H. Quasebarth and J. A. Burke. Herbert Barksdale will consign to the Page County Sale also held at Front Royal on October 19. Thus Rappahannock though comparatively small in area will sell methods this fall besides those going through the Winchester spring sale. The outlook is good—we hope prices will be that way too!
