Elder and Mrs. J. H. Daily were at Bentonville for Elder Dailey’s appointments on Saturday night and Sunday. They were guests on Saturday night of Mr. and Mrs. William Cameron. - Mr. and Mrs. Warren J. Jenkins of Richmond spent the week end and holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Durden and family were guests on Monday of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Daily. ,
Mrs. Henry O’Bannon Cooper of Alexandria was a guest for several days of Miss Louise O’Bannon.
Dr. Aubrey Hughes of Charlottesville, District Supt. of Charlottesville District of M. E. church, preached at the regular eleven o’clock services in Sperryville on Sunday in the absence of the pastor, Rev. H. G. Thatch, who is recuperating at the parsonage from a major operation which was performed at the Veterans Hospital in Durham, N. C. about three weeks ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cloud and family were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Spicer of Brandy. Other guests in the Spicer home were Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Coates of Brandy, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Jenkins and ..sons, Johnnie and “Dinkey” of Indian Head, Md., Mrs. Ida Jenkins of Amissville. Cpl. and Mrs. Charles Compton and son, Bobby of Strasburg, Dallas Walters of Marshall and Miss Ruth Spicer of Warrenton.
Elder and MYs. J. H. Daily attended services on Friday and Saturday at the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church and were over night guests on Friday of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Dinkledeck at Clarendon.
