Qualify For Offices
'Hie mayor and six council ladies have qualified for their respective positions on the Town Council for Washington. They include Mrs. A. M. Verner, who took her oath on the 12th of August, as a member of the Town Council; Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., who qualified for mayor on the 31st of August; and these council members who appeared before the Clerk on the 31st: Miss Ruby Jenkins, Mrs. J. W. Critzer, Mrs. Milton Hawkins, Mrs. J. W. Price and Mrs. Morgan Johnston. FLINT HILL AUXILIARY~ SPONSORS FUN FESTIVAL
A Fun Festival, nwith fun for all and all for fun” will be sponsored by the Flint Hill Auxiliary to the Fire Department, Saturday night, September 18, at 7:30 in the Showroom of Russell Bros. Garage.
All sort of games will be played and home made cakes, designed by Flint Hill’s best cooks, will be on sale.
