The Agriculture Instructor, Robert C. Leonard, Jr., looks on Fauquier County as his native county. He attended V.P.I. from 1948-1952, majoring in Agricultural Education. In September of 1952, Mr. Leonard entered the Unted States Army and attended the Anti-aircraft and Guided Missisles School at Fort Bliss, Texas for 4 months. He then attended the Army Motors Transport School at Fort Sil, Oklahoma for a 4-month period. Shipped to Germany, Mr. Leonard joined the 7th Fieid Artillery Battalion of the 1st Infantry Division. He served as an executive officer of Headquarters Battery.
Exchange teacher Miss Lucy R. Conrad, of Vancouver, will, as earlier reported, teach in the Sperryville Elementary School in the place of Miss Mary Miller Wood, who teaches in Vancouver this year. ,
Miss Mary HollantTef Arlington, formerly of Clifton Forge, too, received her education at Madison College in Harrisonburg. She has had 17 years of teaching % experience, both in the lower and in the upper grades. At present she is teaching first grade ifi Flint Hill School. While in Rappahannock, Miss Holland is making her home with Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Cook.
