7th Division, Korea—Cpl. Edley Thorpe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Thorpe, Amissville, Va., is a member of an Army unit planning to build a ' two-room addition > to a . 'Korean primary school to ease crowded conditions.

The project was planned by the 7th Quartermaster Company in which Thorpe is a truck driver. The school originally was built under the 7th Infantry Division's Assistance to Korea program. *

Corporal Thorpe entered the Army in December 1952 and arrived in Korea in July 1953. ■;

EARL KILBY SUFFERS APPENDECTOMY

Earl Kilby was rushed to the University of Virginia Hospital last Thursday to undergo an Appendectomy. He has now returned to his home and' is recovering v -satisfactorily. ' < •
