Mr. and Mrs. Frank Noel and Mr/ and Mrs. R. W. Miller of Washington, D. C. were Thursday visitors of Mrs. Jennie Miller and her sisters. Sunday callers on the Millers and Mrs. Reese, included Mr. and Mrs. S. Rapley Shackleford "of Montpelier, Mrs. James Hunter and son, William of Naturhl Bridge and Mrs. Harry Avis of Roanoke.
Miss Elise Flippen, who had been spending ten days with her aunts, Mrs. Oliver G. Flippen and Mrs. Thomas M. Henry at “La Grange” near Slate Milk, returned last Thursday to her home in New York City. Mrs. Henry’s daughter, Mrs. Van Manning of Greenwich, Connecticut, is making an early fall visit with her mother and aunt.
Charles C. Connelly of Philadelphia, Penna. was a week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Denis L. Regan. On Saturday, Mrs. George W. Thornhill returned home after spending a week in Alexandria visiting friends and relatives. She motofed home with her brotherin-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Curtiss.
