Stream channel dredging and bank sloping operation near Sperryville along the Thornton River, where it flows tthrough Mt. Vernon Farmr owned by J. Clifford Miller, j Obstructions in the channel and tree encroachment along the banks had greatly reduced the capacity of the stream.
