LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Sir:

The patrons of the Forest Grov* Primary School at Viewtown, an* forming a Parent-Teacher Association for the purpose of helping the teachers with their vital jobs of teaching the children of thiscommunity. Because' of the increasing number of children going to school it is very important fpr every member of the community to help in this job, for a community is measured by its citizens, and its citizens are made in school. We are fortunate in having two of the necessary requirements for good teaching, i.e., a substantial building and good teachers, Miss Mary Bruce .and Miss Dorothy Spicer. We need, to help them in their job, more books, records, and other teaching aids, and we are in great need of playground equipment such as swings, seesaws, and a sandbox.

To raise money for the books, etc., the Forest Grove' P-TA is giving a Harvest Dinner on Friday, November 18 at the Amissville Firehouse from 5:30 P.M. to 8 P.M. Remember that date! you are cordially invited to attend!

Any donations by interested citi sent of materials and services foT the playground equipment will be greatly appreciated. We will need lumber, chains, sand, and cement. Please get in touch with Miss Mary Bruce, at Forest Grove School. Amissville. *
