Virginia Federation of
Demonstration Clubs (bringing us to the state level) has as its msjor interest a better life in rural Virginia. To this end it is affiliated with several organizations having this common interest— Agriculture Conference Board, Virginia Food Council, and the Virginia Council on Health and Medical Care which the Federation was nstrumental in forming.
Rappahannock is one of 92 counties belonging to the Federation in Virginia. Through this association, the latest information gained by scientific research is available,, to even- resident in the county to suit his needs. From the Virginia Agriculture Extension Service this is brought to us by the Home and County Agents. The information, guidance and assistance is n'be had for the asking with no expense to the recipients.
Home Demonstration is that portion tjf the Extension program conducted in the counties under the leadership of the H. D. agents. Its over-all objective is to strengthen home and family life, raise the standards of living and stimulate civic action. Work to this end. is conducted with* both adults and youth through both organized and individual effort.
