Scout Hike Plagued

Saturday December 9th the following boy scouts of Troop 64 of Washington tried to complete their merit badge requirements for bit ing by taking a 20 mile hike. Frank and Page Moffett, Ronnie Hawkins, Roger iffawkins, Philip Kuhn, Sam Snead, Jimmie Jenkins, accompanied by Bill Snead, mascot and W. F. Moffett. Starting at mile post twenty and hiking toward Front Royal, on Skyline Drive the boys made miljt post 11 covering nine miles before the snow put an end to the hike. Bill Snead was ready to ride with Ranger Page Painter at the end of five miles.
