The pointed opera pump is still the most popular shoe. Sling backs and mules with closed toes are “after five” styles.
The chescent toe, plain or spectator style and a mid-heel is a good shoe for shopping or standing.
The square toe is also found in the more tailored shoes.
Teenagers are still wearing the slip-on flats for dress. Or the low dressy heel adds a grown-up touch without too much height. Boots are popular still, particularly with leotards, slacks and swirling skirts*
