Q. Should I grind hay at 5.00 for 800 lbs. and have it mixed with molasses for my beef cows?
A. Molasses added to hay does not increase the feed value of the hay at all, neither does grinding increase its feqd value.
Molasses has feed value and will increase palatability of other feeds when mived with them Mixing molasses with saw dust or pine needles may induce cows to eat it but this diesn’t mean saw dust or pine needles are good 'feeds.
