Anne Dwyer, the servant of Jesus Christ, to all of the saints in 'Christ Jesus which are in the States. ; Grace be unto you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. The way to Gaza has been closed to me and there came many calls to come over and help in Ajloun. I feel that I am standing in a gap here. The English nurse who has been here many'years went to Gaza temporarily to help out
Southern Baptist Mission work began in Jordan in 1952 when the Gilead Hospital located in the Hill^ of Gilead, at Ajloun, was transferred from an independent British Mission. From Ajloun as a center, an expanding program of medical care, education and evangelism has been projected into more than 50 neighboring villages and towns. Regular evangelistic services are held in eleven of these villages. The hospital is a 50-bed, mainly medical hosptial. Tuesday and Friday are operating days. Out-patient clinics are held on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
