Weekly Farm Price Outlook(This
is the way prospects for Virginia farm prices looked to the Virginia Department of Agriculture on Friday. The Department offers it to fanners with the warning that no one can predict prices and be right all the time.)
SOYBEANS
Soybean prices will probably hold firm or increase slightly on through December.
In January sales may increase the avilable market supply and temporarily push prices down some what.
Some fanners have held on to their beans to avoid selling two crops in the same calendar year.
Fanners seem to have put a lot of beans in storage, influenced by the support price and a reasonably favorable spring price outlook.
This has reduced the supply of beans available to cruchers, who have had to up prices to meet their needs.
