Your patience about the delay in delivery of your papers is appreciated. With the heaviest advertising season of the year upon us and a shortage of personnel, we are doing our best, all we can to make out. Additional help is impossible to find at this season, for anyone who is any good is already employed. The average person wiith out any experience in a print shop, can be of little help. However,; I appreciate the many offers of assistance, which we have received. Our faithful friend, and one time resident, Jack Barber, has been a life saver. Likewise, Angus Green of the Orange Review, has been most accommodating, a true friend.
Gene Burke, has now graduated from “George” to engineer. He did a wonderful job of running the presses by himself with very little instruction beforehand.
We had our ups and dowtis. I didn’t put enough guts in some of the ads, we printed on the tympan, let the ink get low and learned together how to justify type in die chases.
