The above group selected twenty-two (22) practices. A list of these practices have been mailed to each fanner On our mailing list. The County Office Manager outlined the practices on Radio WKCYV Dec 5, 1961.
We would like each and every farmer in the County to make an application for ACP practice. We have a beautiful County, let’s keep it that way by carrying out needed Conservation practices.
A Community Committee Meeting will be held Dec. 8, 1961. At this time plans will be made to contact all farmers in the County, by what ever methods our Community Committee considers necessary to get farmers to conserve their soil and water resources Facts Pertaining to JSCS Programs:
1. At this time, we are not taking applications for Conservation Reserve Program (Soil Bank).
2. You must have a soil test that shows lime is needed to be eligible for lime under ACP,
3. You must have a soil test to use 18 per cent or 20 per cent phosphate under ACP. 4. We will have a 1962 Feed Grain Progra mfor com and Grain Sorghum.
5. You can get a loan to build a farm grain storage.
6. The advance payment for 1962 Feed Grain will be made in the near future.
7. The advance payment for Wheat Stabilization Program will be made in the ne«* future.
8. Diverted Acreage in 1962 Barley Freed Grain Program and Wheat Stabilization Program will be checked by Reporter in December 1961 and January 1962.
