Teen-Age Goblins
The Town of Madison passed an ordinance Monday prohibiting the use of masks or other identity-hiding devices by persons over 12 years of age.
The measure was passed by the Town Council in regular meeting Monday night as the governing body sought to eliminate Hallowe’en annoyances suffered in past years. Parents will be held liable for enforcement.
Violators will be considered guilty of a misdemeanor and fined from $10 to $500, jailed from lt^days to 12 months or both. Offenders will be tried in the County Court of Madison which will have full jurisdiction.

The Women of Bromfield Parish will hold a Tea and special sale of Dried Flower Arrangements at reduced prices at Trinity Church Parish Hall on Wednesday, October 31 (Hallowe’en) from 3 to 5 p.m. A silver offering will be taken. The public Is cordially invited to attend.
Hike Scheduled Sunday To Mary’s Rock
Hikers get out your binoculars, wool socks and comfortable walking shoes and meet Chief Forest Warden Raymond Johnson at the Sperryville Elementary School at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday.
The first hike of the Fall season will be about 3 miles along the crest of the Blue Ridge between the Pinnacles and Mary’s Rock. The grade is steady with ‘no difficult climb.
