I hope the county Board of Supervisors and interested citizens will consider changing the present shoot-them-in-the-headfast program. It is riot only cruel to the animals but cruel to their owners, and it is certainly alien to the spirit of kindness and intelligence that should identify our home county.

At the coming general election the voters of Virginia will be asked to vote for or against a constitutional amendment which, in effect if carried, will deprive non-realty owners of the right to vote on issues of public improvements, provided such improvements are to be financed through the issuance of bonds.
In effect, apartment dwellers, (except Cooperative mutually owned) and persons who rent will have no voice in such vital matters as improvements and
additions to public schools^
