Association Meets
The annual meeting of the Rappahannock Angus Feeder Calf Association was held Friday, March 22nd at the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church with dinner served by the Women of the Church. The main course, naturally, was roast beef. Approximately fifty - five members and guests were welcomed by the president, ! Mr. J. Rodes Brown, with i invocation by E. M. Jones I W. H. Lyne recognized new consignors and guests. The guest speaker Mr. George Litton, Head of the Department of Animal Husbandry at V. P. I. gave an interesting talk on “Economics of Cow Business". A business meeting followed at which tinae Mr. Lyne reported on 1962 Sales and 1963 prospects, followed by a Financial report by J. N. Miller, Secretary - Treasurer. Pres. Brown gave a report on the State Meeting. New officers were elected as follows; J. Rodes Brown was re-elected President; James E. Yates, Vice-President; Mrs. Rayner V. Snead, Secretary - Treasurer. The Board of Directors chosen were C. E. Johnson, Jr., I. L. Parrish, and Lee Payne.
