Future Nurses Tour U. Va. Hospital
On Tuesday, May 14th the Juniors and Seniors o the Future Nurses Clubs of R. C. H. S. took a sight-seeing tour of the University of Virginia Hospital. The trip was sponsored by Mrs. Gladys Harris of the Warren Rappahannock-Clarke Tuberculosis Association. Those taking the tour included Judy North, Evelyn Williams, Betty Williams, Shirley Pullen, Elsie Pulley Dorothy E. Payne, Peggy Cooke, Linda Hitt and Kathrine Dwyer, accompained by Mrs. John S. Browning, Club sponsor, and Mrs. Aubry North. The administration of McKim Hall had several speeches explaining the Nursing course offered by the University of Virginia, after which student nurses conducted tours of McKim Hall, the nurses dormitory, and the University of Virginia Hospital. Following the tour, refresh ments were served in McKim Hall. The girls wish to express their appreciation to the guides and speakers for the many courtesies shown them on the tour.
Baptist Youth Rally
The Sue Slaughter Group Youth Rally will be held at the Forest Grove Baptist Church on Friday, May 31, at 7:30 p.m. This is for young people in the G.A.’s, R.A/s and Y.W.A.'s.
