Miss Carolyn Gates Turner spent a few days last w$ek with her mother Mrs. L. J. Turner. She returned' to Lynchburg College oh Sun. i day and was accompanied by Mrs. T. C. Lea who spent several days with her sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Williams in Amherst.
Mrs. Dabney J> Carr returned Friday from a few days business visit in various parts of Pennsylvania. Mr. and Mrs. Stant Weaver were in Luray Sunday and visited the Luray Caverns. Friends and neighbors of B. R. Cox are glad to see him ; riding his pony again after j being hospitalized for two weeks at Mt. Alto. Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Armel spent Sunday in Oakleaf Park, Luray. Mrs. T. C. Lea, Jr. entertained a group of childrn Wednesday in honor of her daughter, Page’s third birthday. Invitations have been received to the graduation of Ed Lynn Menefee of Arlington from Wakefield High School in Arlington, Friday, June 14th. Ed Lynn is the son of Mrs. Anne Dinges of Arlington and Robert Mercer Menefee of Sperryyille. Mr. and Mrs. R. L.Cockey and son Chris of Baltimore were week-end guests of Miss Mary Miller Wood.Saturday guests were Miss Frankie • Keyser, Mrs. Jay Tarwater and son David of Hyattsville, Md., and Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Keyser of Baltimore. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Edmonds and son Eddie were Sunday dinner guests of Miss Wood.
