Mrs. J. B. Johnson Thomas J. Pillar spent several days in Washington, D. C. last week and attended a meeting of the White House Press Correspondents. Miss Peggy Pillar. William Cloe and his mother Mrs. William Cloe spent Sunday with Miss Pillar’s parents Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pillar in Jenkins Hollow. Mrs. Maurice Manuel and her son Chris Manuel of Browntown were luncheon guests Friday of her sister Mrs. B. M. Varner. Miss Lois Egger and Buddy Aylor of Arlington were week end guests of his parents Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Ktfgey of Cottage City, Md. were week-end visitors of their sister Miss Barbara Swindler.

Miss Shirley Brown who has a position in Washington, D. C. spent the weekend at the home of her mother Mrs. Catherine Brown. Miss Louise Schwartz and Miss Polly Morris of Richmond visited friends in town on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Devers and son Jimmie Devers of Front Royal were Sunday visitors of Mr. Devers parents Mr. and Mrs. J. R.Devers. W. W. Rector returned to his home here on Wednesday after a visit with his granddaughter Mrs. Alice Mae
