Donors of Type" A blood responded a second time this year to an emergency call for 19 pints of blood needed for open heart surgery on a six year old child. The Red Cross Bloodmobile was in Warrenton May 23rd, and two days before that date the call went out over radio and all members of the Fauquier Chapter’s Blood Program with Type A blood were telephoned. The deadline was 11 a.m."Thursday and at that time the 19th donor walked in St. James Parish House and the needed blood was on its way. The urgency in this operation is not only for Type A Blood, but for fresh blood. 131 donors in ajl presented, themselves, 119 pints were received, which brings the present total to 820.
