Public Hearing
On Roads Today
A public hearing will beheld this morning (Thursday), January 9, at the Rappahannock County courthouse to discuss the proposed reconstruction and relocation of a portion of US Route 211 near Washington, Va. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. All residents are invited to attend. The section to be discussed is from 1.2 miles south of the corporate limits of Washington to Route 640 east of Benvenue. One location will be proposed and will widen and straighten the route, take traffic out of the town and provide an improved intersection at Massies Corner where Routes 211 and 522 meet.
