Nearly 30 per cent of all' accidental deaths in this country occur in the home, the Association of Casualty and Surety Companies reports. And almost half of, these home deaths are caused by falls. Many of these tragedies can be prevented if stairways are kept- clear, properly lighted and in good repair.
