Dr. Samuel D. Hill has been j appointed director of instruction for the Warren-Rappahannock public School System, effective July l.-^e will suc! ceed James W. Eavey who has served in this capacity since 1960 and was recently appointed superintendent of schools for Isle of Wight County. Dr. Hill is a native of Altavista where he received his' public school education. He received his B.A. degree from Lynchburg College, his Master's and doctor of education degrees from the University of Virginia in administration and supervision. He served as teacher arid principal in Roanoke City and Augusta County schools and is currently serving as general supervisor of instruction for Augusta County.
Additional Contributions Made To Heart Fund The total receipts for the Heart Fund in Rappahannock now stands at $567.44, according to Mrs. Thomas B. Massie, v chairman. An addition of $26 has been received from Stonewall District making that district's total $91. v J
