Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Johnson entertained Sunday with a birthday dinner in honor of Mrs. Iris Brooke having as their guests Lt. Col. and Mrs. Norman Wilbur and daughter Norma Lee. The Rev. W. B. Dennis entered Woodstock Hospital last Monday for surgery. He was visited Wednesday by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dennis and Mrs. Ralph W. Payne of Culpeper, Mrs. Jack Dennis and Mrs. Cecil Lewis, Alexandria and Mrs. Bessie Jenkins, Hagerstown, Md. Stephen Green, son, of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gi^een returned to school last week after a week’s absence with mumps. Mrs. Claude Gaines, who underwent surgery recently at Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, Md., is improved. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Driscoll and children of Culpeper were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Powers. Mrs. Luther Elkins and grandson Gregory Elkins of Charleston, W, Va. are visiting her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Settle for two weeks. . Recent weekend guests of Mrs. R. W. Quaintance and Miss Elsie Ramsey were Mrs. Elizabeth Bonbrest, Miss Grace Royston and Mrs. Mary Mercer of Washington, D. C. Last weekend Mr. and Mrs. Barton Quaintance and family of Seaford, Del. visited Mrs. Quaintance.
