Night driving calls for that “something extra" both in car handling skills and in observance of safety precautions. The warning comes fromthe Association of Casualty and Surety Companies which says that the death rate in fatal accidents per million miles driven is about three times greater at night than during Hlaylight hours. Don*t bet your life against these statistics by failing to be extra careful at night, the ACSC advises. Driving mistakes made in daylignt ao not invariably lead to accidents, nor do errors made after dark; but at night, there is more chance of serious injury.
