Compton Edgar Wise Compton of Boston, Va. died Wednesday, April .■ 15, 1964 at Butler Boarding 5 Home in Culpeper. He was 81. Son of the late Burrell Comp : ton and Martha Clark Compton, he was- a native of Rappahannock County and a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. ; Survivors include one sist ter, Mrs. Henry Green, Culpeper; and one brother, James B. Compton, Washington, D. C. ;■ A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday from Geest Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John S. Farrar officiating. Interment was in Fairview ; Cemetery. Pallbearers' were J. B. ;• Burke, Willie Grimsley, JjCharlie Compton, Edmund Burke, Leonard Butler, Irvin * Compton and Clifton' Compton, all nephews.
