on Saturday, May 2 at about 9:40 p. m. Thomas Elijah Harris of the home address of R. F. D. 3., Salem, Va., stationed at Quantico Marine Corps Base was involved in a single car accident, driving a 1964 Ford Tudor Sedan, with damage of approximately $500 to the rear end, suspension, trunk, bumper and fender. The car was headed eist on route 211, .6 of a mile east of Ben Venue, swerved off left hand side of road, swerved sideways down an embankment coming to rest with rear end against a tree. There was no personal injury. The accident was said to be caused by a faulty steering wheel. Harris was charged with reckless driving by Trooper Lasly in vestigating officer.
