The Rappahannock Junior Chamber of Commerce received its charter Monday evening, May 4 during appropriate ceremonies at the charter night banquet held at Panorama. This newly organized chapter has 26 charter members.
The program was opened with Charles K. Estes leading the group in the pledge of allegiance to the flag, followed by the invocation given by the Rev. Charles E. Glaenzer, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church. The dinner followed. T. Carlyle Lea, Jr., president of the R a p p a hannock Chapter, introduced guests present and Mrs. Dorothy C. Davis, Mayor of the Town of Washington, extended a welcome to all. The guest speaker, the Hon. John 0. Marsh, Jr., congressional representative from the Seventh District, was introduced by Judge Rayner V.
