Chair Caning
Workshop May 7
A chair caning work day is planned for May 27 at Cab Inn, Sperryville beginning at 9:30 a. m. Anyone in the county interested in bottoming a chair may contact Miss Harriet Goode, Home Agent, who will have information on ordering cane for your use. Cost per chair is about $1.50. This workshop is open to all and there is no charge except for the material. The County Arts and Crafts committee made final plans for this work day at their monthly meeting on Tuesday. They are also beginning plans for a basket weaving class in the near future using such native materials as honeysuckle and willow. Anyone interested in doing basket weaving should contact the Home Agent for information regarding the gathering of materials.
