Commencement At
Local High School Fri.
Commencement exercises for thirty-two graduates of Rappahannock County High School will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, 1964 in the school auditorium. The Rev. Arnold Sorrells will give the invocation, followed by the salutatory address by Susan Schaefer. Dana Snead will give a history of the class and Kathryn Nalls will present a resume of future plans of the graduates. Principal H. B. Winfrey will make a short talk with O. A. Norton, Superintendent of Schools, presenting diplomas to the class. William Francis Moffett III will give the valedictory address. During the program the Glee Club under the direction of Mrs. Clyde Melton will sing three selections, among which will be the traditional “Halls of Ivy".
Mission Group To Meet
The W. M. S. of the Washington Baptist Church will meet Tuesday, June 9 at the church it 2 p. m.. The subject for the study group will be “The Awakening Brazil."
