The Virginia Polytechnic In* stitute Corps of Cadets has announced the promotion of Marvin R. Bradford III to the rank of Cadet Captain. Cadet Bradford is the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Bradford. Jr. of Flint HU. As Company Commander of Company I, Cadet Bradford will be responsible for the operation of his unit and the performance of its members. He will also assure the training of his unit in every aspect of Cadet life at V.P.I. Company I has the distinction of being this year’s winner of the Beverly S. Parrish Memorial Award, presented to the company which accumulates the greatest number of points in Corps competition. During the past year Cadet Bradford was also initiated into the following organizations: Phi Beta Lambda, Association of the United States Army, National Society of Scabbard and Blade, and Alpha Kappa Psi. A graduate of Rappahannock County High School, Cadet Bradford plans to continue his education until he obtains a Doctorate of Law Degree following his graduation from V.P.I.
