to be about 50,000,000 bushels, -slightly larger than last year. The resulting total supply of 754,000,000 bushels should be up only 5 per cent from last year. In Delaware, Maryland, Vii. ginia, North Carolina and South Carolina prospects are for 23 per cent more soybeans than last year. The 8,316,000 bushel soybean crop expected in Virginia this year is 70 per cent above last year'8 drought affected crop and a record crop for the state. An estimated 2 per cent smaller cotton crop than last year will mean less ^cotton seed and oil and should help the soybean situation.
Culpeper Horse Show
Scheduled Saturday
The Annual Culpeper Fall Horse Show, sponsored by the Culpeper County 4-H Horse and Pony Club, will be held at the Agricultural Enterprises, four and a half miles south of Culpeper on Route 29, Saturday, Sept. 19 at 9:00 a.m. EST. In the event of rain the show will be postponed until Sept. 26. Proceeds from the show will be used to build a permanent show ring and to further the development of the Horse Program In Culpeper County and surrounding areas.
As in the past, this show will be open to all entries and is made up of 22 classes which are divided into English and Western Divisions. The English Division will include Working Hunters, and Small and Large Pony Hunters. Each Of the divisions will have stake classes. Entry fees will be $1.00 per class except stake classes which will have* an entry fee of $3.00.
In addition to this Fall Show, the Culpeper 4-H Horse and Pony Club also sponsors another open show in the spring.
