at their home "Belvederd} known as the Hamrick place in the Old Hollow. Col. and Mrs. E. A. McNear and Lt. Richard McNear spent the week-end at their home Greenwood. Lt. McNear is spending a month's leave with his parents at Vint Hill. Mrs. Rayner V. Snead entertained Saturday with a birthday party honoring her daughter, Mary Elizabeth's seventh birthday. Milton C. Gore, Jr., will return this year to RandolphMacon Academy in Front Royal. Mrs. George E. Terry and children Wanda, Eddie and Billy who have been spending sometime with Mrs. Terry’s mother, Mrs. B. R. Armel and Mr. Armel left Tuesday for Mannheim, Germany where M/Sgt. Terry is stationed. Mrs. Armel accompanied them to McGuire Air Force Base and attended the New York World’s Fair. Guests for the weekend of the Misses Essie and Lucy Estes were Mrs. Mamie Wrenn of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Edwin Pearson and daughter, Mary Diane of Vienna. ,' Guests last Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. W. Arthur Miller and their houseguests Capt and Mrs. J. S. Willis were Miss Sheila Keating of Washington, D. C., Dr. and Mrs. Carroll Iden of Berryville and Mrs. James M. Settle of Flint Hill. Dr. and Mrs. Howard Berger of Fairfax were at their home Clair monte for the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Armel entertained at a family picnic dinner Saturday afternoon. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Everett Estes and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Estes and family, Harold Brown Estes and Mrs. Libby Pullen.
Dinner guests on Friday of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Styer were Mr. and Mrs. Champe Hutchison and Mrs. O. C. Bridges of Fairfax County. Sunday dinner guests were Mr,, and Mrs. Bernard Andrus and Mrs. Ethel Jackson of Mountain Home, N. C.
