Three Youths
Brooke Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Newbill Miller of Washington, was hospitalized Tuesday with a concussion after falling from a hayloft on the Miller farm. He was taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital where he presently remains. Miss Dana Snead was hospitalized from Friday until Tuesday in Culpeper Memorial hospital for treatment of a slight concussion suffered Thursday from a fall from a horse. At the end of a ride with a group in the mountains near Sperryville, she fell after taking a jump with horse and rider reportedly being tired. Carolyn Tholand of Sperryville remains a patient in Culpeper Memorial Hospital after undergoing surgery last Tuesday to have her spleen removed. Carolyn fell from a horse at her home Piedmont Farm. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N.K.G. Tholand

The Sperryville Fire Department is soliciting articles for an Auction Sale for the benefit of this organization.
They will be happy to accept such articles of furniture, antique dishes, kitchen utensils, canned fruit or most anything. The Sale will be held the middle of October or first of November at the Sperryville Fire House.
