Thirteen hundred and eighteen head were acceptable to the scrutinizing eyes of J. Rodes Brown, James E. Yates and Weldon Burke for the 25th Annual Rappahannock Angus Breeders’ Feeder Calf Sale to be held October 13th at Front Royal Livestock Market. Forty-four different owners are represented having from five head to well above a hundred. Among the "first-timers' are: Robert J. Miko, who purchased the John Keyser farm; Tom Massie, a native son; Charles Dombroswky,*who now owns the Miss Mary Bruce property; and J. T. Dwyer, also a native born. There is a good possibility 50-60 additional head may be accepted pending owners decisions, clean herd tests, etc. However final acceptance, as usual, is a matter of graders’ decision.
Dr. and Mrs. W. L. Wake Castleton, Va. (tel.937-3708) who purchased the Frank Kinsey property located just off route 729 on route 622 were by the office last Friday.
