Mrs. Lily Barber returned home Saturday after a visit of several weeks with her grandson Fred Armstrong and family in Roanoke. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Johnson of Long Island, N.Y. were guests Wednesday and Thursday of last week of Mr. and Mrs. Cary Thornhill. Their week-end guests were Mr. and Mrs. Winfrey Thornhill and family of Manassas. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hawkins on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duncan and family of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. Don Pagett and son Donnie of Alexandria. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Johnston were Bill Stephen and Jeff Karnes of Culpeper. Mr, and Mrs. C. B. Johnson were Saturday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Patterson.
Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Menefee were Weston Deal of Castleton, Mrs, Linwood Pullen and son of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs.Earl Jewell of Culpeper, Miss Janie Settle of Castleton. Mrs. Oscar Butler was a Saturday dinner guest and Mrs. George Butler a guest on Thursday. Miss Virginia Settle and Larry Nethers spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nethers in Winchester. On Saturday they visited John Fincham at the Miller Nursing Home in Woodstock. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson Miss Lillie and Miss Nellie Johnson and Miss Mattie Rector were supper guests Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Johnson. Mrs. J. H.Johnson is visiting Mrs. Lewis Johnson in Falls Church. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Johnson are spending a few days in Norfolk.
Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Curry and son of Arlington, Miss Myrtle Settle of Boston, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Menefee were Friday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Settle.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Butler and family of Annandale were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Butler.
Mrs. Edward Brown gave a party Friday in honor of her daughter Windie’s birthday.
