Firemen, Rescue Men
Will Banquet Friday
The Washington Fire Company and Rappahannock Rescue Squad will entertain the Washington Ladies Auxiliary and additional guests with a banquet Friday evening at Hampton Inn. The Rev. Charles Glaenzer, of Trinity Episcopal Church, will be guest speaker. The Barracudas will entertain with music and Carl Burke will present dinner music on the piano.

Brisk First Day
The first day was a busy one with the local state vehicle license agent, Gibson Wharton at Hampton Inn. Tags went on sale Monday morning the 15th. Mr. Wharton announces that tags will be sold from 8 a. m. until 4p.m.each week' day and on Saturday from 8 a. m. until 12 noon. ■ The public is requested to take notice of these hours. The office of Rappahannock 'County Treasurer, Robert L. Brown, will be open each ^eek day from 9 a. m. until 5 p. m. for the purchase of county tags and on Saturday from 9 a. m. until 12 noon.
Amissville Auxiliary Elects Officers
Officers elected at the March meeting of Amissville Ladies Auxiliary are president, Mrs. Russell Hackley; vice president, Mrs. Franklin Williams; secretary, Mrs. Charlie Priest; treasurer, Mrs. A. C. Latham; chaplain, Mrs. Braxton James; reporter, Mrs. Sarah Latham. Dues for the auxiliary are payable in January each year and are $1.20. The Auxiliary served dinner to Amissville Ruritan Club on Wednesday night.
