Gordon, GM President said today. Of the schools benef iting from the Educational Donations Program during the year 82 were colleges or universities and the remainder were high schools, vocational schools, and other schools, he disclosed. “General Motors has long felt that it should offer assistance to our schools and colleges; that the students of ! today should be as fully informed as possible,* Mr. Gordon said. “The donation of automotive components is but a part of our over-all program aimed toward this end. “At the secondary school level, in addition to the Educa tional Donations Program, we have a cooperative program with GM automobile dealers to provide passenger cars for student driver training programs.
“The gifts of automotive components to colleges, universities and secondary schools with either engineering or vocational courses, are a part of our ^attempt to aid in the train ing of students," Mr. Gordon said.
