At present, there is no preventive or cure for leukemia but the lives of patients are being prolonged with new combinations of drugs, and many scientists believe that cures will be found for this type of cancer sooner than for any other cancer. Your dollars can help According to figures from the chairman of the Rappahannock Cancer Crusade, from a population of 5,272 a total of $1,220.92 was contributed to the campaign fund drive in 1964. This amounts to 23 cents per capita, and includes memorial and special gifts. The goal of 1965 Is 24 cents per capita which will amount to $1,388.84.
