Offut of Bethesda, Md. was killed in a two-car collision July 8 near Sperryville; Mrs. Abner Morris Russell of Falls Church was killed September 27 in a two-car crash at the west limits of the Town of Washington. June 28 Mrs. Lucille Porter Grigsby of Steeleton, Pa. died in twovehicle crash in Smedley Hollow near Sperryville. Rappahannock ranks 25 in the state and is rated at 4.5. The rate is deaths per 100 million vehicle miles traveled. Rank is standing among 96 counties with worst rank 96.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sparks and five children are living temporarily with Mrs. Sparks^ ancle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson in Culpeper while they find new living quarters. The house they were occupying near Boston, owned by J. B. Burke was partially destroyed by fire about 11 o’clock Monday morning. Culpeper Fire Department responded to the call. Mrs. Mabel C. Yowell of Culpeper was a Saturday dinner guest of her niece Mrs. Herbert Hash and Mr. Hash. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Price were the Hash’s Sunday dinner guests. Mr. and Mrs. Shelton Scroggins of Lignum were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fincham. Mrs. James Glover of Washington, D. C. is visiting for several days with her sisterin-law Mrs. Charles Thornhill and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thornhill.
Miss Carolyn Sue Butler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Butler of Arlington is spending the week with her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Burke. Mr. and Mrs. Rany Frazier and daughter Marie were the guests of Mrs. Carrie Dodson of Nethers Mill on Sunday after toon. Prayer services for the Home Missions are held during the week. The ladies of :he Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Missionary Society met Wednesday afternoon, March 3, at the home of Mrs. Lillie Butler of Woodville. A sumptous luncheon was served :o 13 ladies, several men and children. This was followed oy the regular prayer service and meeting. This week on Wednesday following school the Y. W. A’s of Mt. Lebanon Church met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Burke for their prayer meeting service for Home Mi& aions. It was followed by supoer and then all attended the choir practice at Mt. Lebanon Church.
