Rev. and Mrs. John D. Divers of Waynesboro, Va., were appointed missionaries to Argentina today by the South, ern Baptist Foreign Mission Board, meeting in Richmond. Mr. Divers has been pastor of Westwood Baptist Church, Waynesboro, since May, 1960. Previously he was pastor of Washington and Flint Hill Bap tist Churches, in Rappahannock County, Virginia, ministerial intern at First Bap. tist Church, Charlotte, N. C. and summer worker in rural Kentucky for the Southern Bap tist Home Mission Board. He served with the (J. s. Army for 14 months, spend ing part of that time on oo cupational duty in Germany after World War II, A native of Roanoke, Va., he graduated from the University of Virginia, Char lottesville, with the bachelor of arts degree and from South-! ern Baptist Theological Semi nary, Louisville, Ky., with the bachelor of divinity degree. He also studied in the School of Pastoral care at North Caro l lina Baptist Hospital, Winston Salem. Mrs. Divers, the former Mary Evelyn Hensley, is a native of Burnsville, N. C. She holds the associate of arts degree from Mars Hill (N.C.) College, the bachelor of arts degree from Meredith College, Raleigh, N. C., and the master of religious education degree from Carver School of I Missions and Social Work (now merged with Southern Seminary), Louisville. She formerly taught school
