Carter White left Wednesday, March 10 to visit friends in Kentucky, visiting friends in Wytheville enroute. He will return home this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Conner Jenkins visited Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sisk and family of Sperryville on Saturday evening. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins and Mrs. Venie Jenkins of Culpeper visited Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Fincham at Peola Mills.
Miss Muriel D. Brown of Broomall, Pa. was a weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. demon Woodward and family. Saturday supper guests were Mr. and Mrs. John Hurt and Charlotte and Wayne Hurt of Criglersvijle and James Taylor of Wolftown. Dinner guests on Sunday of the Woodwards were Mr. and Mrs. Claude Woodward and daughter Diane of Madison. Mrs. Iris Brooke returned home Friday from a week’s visit with her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. George Baber, Jr. in Lanham, Md. She was accompanied home by Mr. and Mrs. Baber who spent the week-end visiting Lt. Col. and Mrs. Norman Wilbur and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Johnson and their families. Mrs. Eloise Weaver and Mrs Mellisa Johnson of Boston and Mrs. Lanell Wilbur of Slate Mills attended a Tea Sunday afternoon for the Business and Professional Women of Culpeper held at the home of Mrs. Frances Coiner in Culpeper.
Mrs. Ashton Schwab ofWarrenton, John Coates of Culpeper and Miss Betty Kennedy of Alexandria were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Waver Kennedy. Mr. and Mrs. Waver Kennedy and Mr. and Mrs. Olney Kennedy were in Inlet Saturday evening and visited in the homes of Mr. and Mrs. James Minnis, Mr. and Mrs. James Walter Cubbage and Mr. and Mrs. Isiah Jenkins. Mrs. Oscar Dodson has been ill this past week and her daughter-in-law Mrs. Betty Dodson of Culpeper has been caring for her. Mrs. Dodson was somewhat improved on Monday. Miss Carol Cobert of Mary Washingon College, Fredericksburg, spent the weekend as the gue6t of J&tk; Thomas, son of Dr. and Mrs. Harding Thomas in Culpeper. Mrs. George W., Tidier left recently with her daughter Mrs. Robert Scott and grandda ughter Miss Betty Faye Wood, of Alexandria to spend several days visiting them and another daughter Mrs. Sol Schneider and granddaughter Mrs. Winnie Moats of Silver Spring, Md.
