After a S-H-O-R-T, but funfilled summer, the doors of - RCHS opened last week to welcome us back. An unwelcome sight, however, was our treasured trophy case. Most of our trophies were practically demolished. According to Mr. Winfrey, the vandals “were kind (?) enough" to leave the plates, (inscriptions, etc.) of the trophies, which may make it possible to replace them. WELCOME to all eighth - graders and new students!!! We are also glad to welcome back all our “old* (no offense, please!) teachers, including Mrs. Louise Marshall who has returned to us after a year's absence. We also have several brand new members of the faculty: Mrs. Mary M. Cargill, music instructor; Mr. ; *A1“ Ballard, assistant coach and science instructor and Mr. David Layman, head coacty . PE and biology instructor. We , all wish you a most pleasant year at RCHS!! Speaking of teachers, Mrs. t Myra Wolf returned to us • Tuesday after spending the summer in Europe. We’re looking forward to hearing about all her adventures!! The1 seniors are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their class rings, which should be in this week. (Note to Mr. Palmer: We know you’ll be happy to be welcomed each day by a mob of seniors--at least until our rings come!)
