The members of the Piedmont Church wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all the other churches for their kindness in helping out with serving lunch k to all who attended the recent Association of Regular Baptists which was held in the school auditorium in Sperryville.
Mr. and Mrs. Early Siskhad as their guests for luncheon last Sunday the Rev. and Mrs. Maxwell Butler. Mr. Butler is pastor of the Piedmont Regular Church. Week-end guests of Mrs. J. H. Daily were Elder Charles Elderton of Brightwood, Elder David Ridgman of Tallassee. Ala., Mrs. Lora Carpenter, Miss Lena Dalton, Miss Carol Huckstep of Madison, Clarence Davis an<J eon Clarence, Jr. of Akron, Ohio. Mrs. Daily who is recovering from a recent illness and hospitalization is improving and was able to attend services on the weekend with the group at Bethel and other churches. Mr. and Mrs. P. Lee Thornton spent a few days during the holiday at Moorehead, N C. Mrs. H. H. Aylor returned to Arlington with her son Buddy on Monday for a three day visit with members of her family and especially to see her son Joe Henry Aylor who is recuperating from a recent operation at Veterans Hospital in Washington, D. C. Reports are that Mr. Aylor’s condition is satisfactory. Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Montague had as their guests at their home in Broad Hollow on Saturday Mr. and Mrs. John Coop er of Alexandria.
