P. D. Barham returned Sat urday to the home of his sonin-law and daughter the Rev. and Mrs. James Grimmer from the University of Virginia Hospital. Mrs. Evange line Grimmer of Portsmouth is spending some time in the Grimmer home. Mrs. W. A. Moore anddaugh ter Miss Charlotte Moore spent several days last week in New York and visited the World’s Fair. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. McCulloch of Fairfax were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. H. [ Brady. Mrs. Sally Rowan was a Sun day dinner guest of Mrs. E. I M. Eastham. Other visitors on Sunday were Mrs. FredHuff man and Mrs. Mary Yowell and children of Inlet and Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Eastham of Front Royal. Mrs. Huffman and Mrs. Yowell also called on Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Cook. Mrs. Herbert Foster, Mr. and Mrs. Gavor Foster and son Chris visited Mrs. Effie Wince at Orlean and Mr. and Mrs. Vance Butler at Warrenton on Sunday. Mrs. D. P. Little and son Donnie of Capron were guests Tuesday and Wednesday of last week of the Rev. and Mrs, James M. Grimmer.
Miss Doris Anne Atkins daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nel son Atkins is an appendectomy patient in the Leesburg Hospital. She expects to return home the latter part of this week.
