veterans or Dependents, in receipt of compensation or pension, who plan to make a temporary change of address out of state but who do not desire to have the claims file transferred to the jurisdiction of the VA Office in the state where they are going, should indicate in their change of address that the move is a temporary one and the claims file will remain at the original office. This is desirable in many cases, as a transferred file is subject to review and possible new, unfavorable rating action when transferred. VA Forms 572, Request for Change of Address, may be obtained from any office of the Division of War Veterans' Claims. Edward M. Mathews, of the Front Royal Office of the Division of War Veterans' Claims, is in Washington at the Clerk’s Office on 1st and 3rd Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.rn. and will gladly give more details on this subject or any other matter connected with veterans’ affairs.
