Mrs. Carson Johnson surveys the living room of her home. Chestnut Cove in Spreryville for last minute preparation before the Dried Arrangement House Tour on October 16 and 17. She is standing beside the fireplace which was built of stone from the old Skyland dining room in Shenandoah National Park. The chair is one of a pair of most interesting half-arm chairs which have been handed down through generations of Mrs. Johnson’s family. The handsome hand braided rug was made by Mrs. Janie Beahm and adds greatly to the large collection of Rappahannocana gathered so lovingly by Mrs. Johnson.
